Sun Pilates Studio offers private, semi-private and small classes on state-of-the-art equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac (Trapeze Table), Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. The unique spring-loaded tension on Pilates apparatus ensure that you learn to control all variations of the movement. Utilizing your body weight along with the assistance or resistance of Pilates equipment helps you discover the underlying connectedness of your muscles, bones, connective tissue, and fascia and assists your deeper understanding of your unique body potential.
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® was developed by Juliu Horvath more than 30 years ago. A blend of dance, yoga, tai chi, and swimming, the method promotes fluid, undulating motion accompanied by varied breathing patterns to regenerate and stimulate the entire body. Pilates Mat classes involve a series of classical Pilates exercises performed on a mat without equipment. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. Instructors will pay special attention to alignment and form. Props – including foam rollers, therabands, weighted balls, the Pilates ring, and more – may be used to add challenge or assistance throughout the class. After mastering the basic repertoire in beginner mat classes, you can challenge yourself with the quicker-paced intermediate or advanced options.
Sun Pilates Studio is the primary host studio for the PilatesSOL® Teacher Training program. The program is continually running through both our downtown and Garden of the Gods location, so new students can start when it is convenient for them. Besides the convenience of location, Sun Pilates Studio offers all teacher trainees discounted classes, opportunities for student teaching, a FREE weekly Teacher Workshop, and personal one on one support and mentorship from local Master Trainers. PilatesSOL® is the only teacher training program that offers both Classical and Contemporary Education - making it's graduates highly marketable in the Pilates industry.

Sun Pilates Studio's workshops are designed to enhance knowledge and body awareness with an in-depth focus on different modalities of movement. From foam roller foundations to SUPilates, these stimulating workshops delve into specific facets of the Pilates Method or teach the application of Pilates in a range of specialized areas. New workshops are added regulary and taught by studio instructors as well as guest teachers.
MindfulMonkey® kids’ yoga and Pilates classes are designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination and self-esteem using age-appropriate mindful movement. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with various breathing and visualization techniques. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses, lots of yoga games, breathing and basic anatomy.
